dc.description.abstractDecolonization and the emergence of norms of human rights have had a tremendous impact on the international legal order. On the one hand, because the traditional international legal order was closely connected with the colonial system, the validity of many traditional rules and principles has come to be questioned. Emerging norms of human rights, on the other hand, have been establishing a new framework within which decision-makers must deal with international problems.
