dc.description.abstractIn April 1983, Yale Law School's Allard K, Lowenstein International Human Rights Project sponsored one of the last public addresses of the late Benigno Aquino. In his memory, the Lowenstein Project-named for the Congressman, U.S. representative to the United Nations, and Yale Law School graduate, who was a vigorous advocate for human rights in the United States and abroad-establisheda n annual lecture to be given by a prominent figure in the international human rights movement. Previous speakers have included Kim Dae Jung of Korea and Amos Sawyer of Liberia.
