Professor Parks states that the purpose of his book is "to show the student how American courts are dealing with questions in mortgage law." How well does the book accomplish its purpose? The book follows very closely the plan of its predecessors. "Occasionally," however, "the editor has departed from the arrangement of topics and cases usually adopted by other authors." Any attempt to add new devices for instruction, for example, anything like Professor Campbell's experiment with problem cases, there is not.
