| dc.description.abstract | Homosexual aliens may be denied entry into the United States based solely on their sexual preference. This Article attempts to trace the evolution of American immigration policy regarding the exclusion of homosexual aliens. It first discusses and compares the historical treatment of homosexuals in the United States and abroad. It then considers United States immigration policy, focusing on how the immigration laws have dealt, and should deal, with homosexuality. Finally, it discusses the AIDS virus and the influence it has had upon public perception of homosexuality. In this controversial area, this Article attempts to develop a more coherent and rational policy regarding the exclusion of homosexual aliens than the practice that currently exists.' | |
