Abstract
Next year, we will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Philadelphia convention of 1787, which proposed our Constitution for ratification by the states. Ninety-nine years ago, at the mid-point between those proceedings at Philadelphia and what will no doubt be an explosion of celebrations rivalling the recent unveiling of the refurbished Statue of Liberty, John Randolph Tucker gave an address on the Constitutional Convention to the graduating class of the Yale Law School.
