Abstract
1 sheet (1 unnumbered page) : illustrations ; 43 x 20 cm. On December 21, 1832, the body of Sarah M. Cornell was found hanging on a farm in Tiverton, Rhode Island. A Methodist minister, Ephraim K. Avery, was charged with her murder, leading to one of the most sensational trials of the 19th century. His acquital provoked popular outrage, as reflected in this broadside. http://morris.law.yale.edu/record=b1202892
