1 sheet (1 unnumbered page) : illustrations ; 43 x 20 cm. On December 21, 1832, the body of Sarah M. Cornell was found hanging on a farm in Tiverton, Rhode Island. A Methodist minister, Ephraim K. Avery, was charged with her murder, leading to one of the most sensational trials of the 19th century.
