Abstract
The Good Mother2 tells the story of a divorced woman, Anna, whose daughter Molly is the center of her life. Anna's grandfather criticizes her "bohemian" lifestyle (she teaches piano and works in a lab) and the fact that her daughter attends daycare instead of being cared for at home. Anna's ex-husband is an attorney who remarried immediately after their divorce. Anna meets a sculptor named Leo, and, in time, both she and her daughter enjoy a close, loving relationship with him. Anna's ex-husband disapproves of her lifestyle and sexual conduct with Leo, and he institutes a lawsuit to gain custody of Molly.
