Book Review: Selecting International Judges: Principle, Process, and Politics.

Reisman, W. Michael
Nadadur, Ramanujan
Abstract
Books about apparently fundamental concepts likejudges and courts in the international legal system are prone to fall victim to what Harold D. Lasswell, former president of the American Society of International Law, and Abraham Kaplan called "index instability." Lasswell and Kaplan cautioned that this "index instability" contributes "significantly to the futility in the present state of research of many attempts at metricizing (quantifying) political hypotheses."
