Abstract
Slightly more than halfway through the past decade, the effort of government regulators to enforce the arcane federal securities laws left the business pages, and assumed a prominent position of honor or ignominy (depending upon whether one was doing the writing, or being written about) on the front pages of America's and the World's newspapers. For securities lawyers in particular, the 1980s were exciting and tumultuous.
