Abstract
I'd like to open with a brief passage from Bob Gordon's sensitive essay entitled "New Developments in Legal Theory" which appears in The Politics of Law. The essay begins by assaying the relationship between theorists and practitioners, or, more precisely, the tendency of people who attend Critical Legal Studies (CLS) conferences to sort themselves into two categories: theorists and practitioners.
