Abstract
What follows is a story about health policy and baseball-and how the latter can help us to understand the former. The primary subject of debate in health policy these days is about the Affordable Care Act (ACA)-or, as it's come to be known, "Obamacare." Mostly it has been a debate between those who, broadly speaking, support the idea of a universal health insurance system and those who do not. But even among those of us who support universal coverage, the ACA generates decidedly mixed feelings.
